Currently hiring for a Low Voltage Estimator to support estimating efforts across a wide range of commercial projects. This role plays a key part in generating accurate bids for structured cabling, security, AV, fire alarm, and other low-voltage systems. Ideal candidates will have a solid grasp of low-voltage technologies and a knack for building strong relationships with clients and vendors, all while driving profitability and project success.

- Perform thorough takeoffs for low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, AV, and fire alarm.
- Develop conceptual estimates during early design phases to help guide client decisions.
- Accurately determine material, labor, and vendor pricing to support competitive proposals.
- Maintain precision and timeliness in all estimating work to align with sales targets and profit margins.
- Organize and input bid data into cost history databases for future reference and trend analysis.
- Review project documents to catch scope changes and offer creative value engineering solutions.
- Track takeoff metrics, bid success rates, and overall contributions to the sales pipeline.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with clients, trade partners, and vendors.
- Follow up consistently on submitted bids to support deal closure and feedback collection.
- Support project startup by handing off organized estimate details to field teams.
- Assist with pricing change orders during construction as needed.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to continuously improve tools, templates, and workflows.
- Stay on top of industry trends and innovations to keep offerings fresh and competitive.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in low-voltage estimating or related roles, especially within the commercial space.
- Experienced with structured cabling, security, AV, and fire alarm systems.
- Comfortable reading electrical plans and technical drawings related to low-voltage.
- Hands-on experience with estimating platforms like Accubid, Connest, or similar.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; bonus points for tech-savvy problem-solving.
- Skilled at juggling multiple estimates/projects without missing deadlines.
