If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our manufacturing company is seeking a Permanent Machine Shop Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will require you to manage daily operations, ensure high-quality production, and contribute to the growth and success of our company. You will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled machinists and ensuring all our products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring all production targets are met on time and in full.
• Supervising and managing a team of machinists, providing guidance and support as necessary.
• Operating and maintaining various machinery including lathes and grinders.
• Implementing lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and minimize waste.
• Ensuring the highest quality of work is achieved by enforcing strict quality control standards.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
• Developing and implementing operational improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Training new employees on machine operation and safety protocols.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Managing resources effectively to achieve production targets while minimizing costs.
• Resolving any issues or disputes that may arise in the machine shop in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop or related manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with production processes, lathes, lean manufacturing principles, and grinders.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and safety protocols.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using computer software for production planning and inventory management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Relevant certification or degree in a technical field is preferred.
