Job Title: Aerospace Machine Shop Supervisor

Job Summary:

Oversee daily operations of the aerospace machine shop. lead and manage a team of machinists, toolmakers, and support staff. Ensure efficient and timely production of aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the machine shop team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and expectations.
  • Collaborate with production planning for efficient scheduling.
  • Allocate resources for optimal machine utilization.
  • Enforce adherence to aerospace industry quality standards.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures.
  • Evaluate and optimize machining processes for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for process improvements.
  • Oversee regular maintenance and calibration of machining equipment.
  • Coordinate timely repairs and upgrades with maintenance teams.
  • Enforce safety protocols in the machine shop.
  • Stay updated on aerospace industry regulations.
  • Identify training needs for the team.
  • Implement training programs for skill development.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Provide regular updates to upper management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in aerospace machining.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace industry standards.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards in aerospace manufacturing.
