Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance, repair, and installation operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining optimal equipment performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving preventive maintenance initiatives to support production reliability and plant safety.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and support daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of departmental tasks and effective communication with supervisors on progress and issues.
Create, update, and manage preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, coordinating completion and follow-up actions.
Assist in maintaining the parts inventory, including implementing and managing min/max levels to support efficient ordering and stocking.
Perform electrical repairs and maintenance, including installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of electrical systems and equipment.
Conduct component-level repairs on DC and AC motor controls, PLCs, process controllers, and other electronic devices.
Review inspection and preventive maintenance documentation to verify completion and identify potential issues.
Repair or replace defective equipment components using appropriate hand and power tools; reassemble and test equipment for safe operation.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, building systems, and utilities to maintain reliability and safety.
Calibrate and maintain electronic and mechanical measurement and testing instruments as required.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and perform other scheduled maintenance tasks following established checklists.
Utilize a range of tools including precision instruments, hoists, drills, saws, wrenches, and electrical testing devices.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, interpret blueprints and repair manuals, and determine effective repair methods.
Dismantle devices using hoists, cranes, or hand tools to access and remove defective parts.
Work safely and in compliance with all OSHA, FDA, and internal safety and quality standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Arc Flash procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts and uphold a strong culture of safety and quality.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electronics, or Mechatronics preferred.
2–5 years of related industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk constantly, with frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting of heavier loads.
Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Must have normal vision, hearing, smell, and touch to identify operational or safety issues.
Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and respirators.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a covered production area and machinery shop, which may include exposure to dust, oil, noise, and temperature variations.
May also involve time in office areas for planning and computer-based tasks.
