As a Permanent Maintenance Lead, you will be playing a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations. We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintaining operational efficiency. You will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are functioning at optimal levels, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase operational efficiency.
3. Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery, ensuring all safety standards and protocols are strictly adhered to.
4. Train and mentor maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
5. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address any potential issues that may impact production.
6. Regularly inspect facilities for any necessary repairs or improvements, and coordinate with external contractors as needed.
7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, including parts used and time spent on each task.
8. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend potential upgrades or improvements.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance lead role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
3. Strong technical skills, with a thorough understanding of the operation and maintenance of various types of manufacturing equipment.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and mentor a team.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
6. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
8. A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, with a thorough understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
9. Proficiency in the use of maintenance software and tools.
10. A relevant degree or certification in a related field would be an added advantage.
