Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift!!

Based in the Southwest Houston area, we are a well established plastics manufacturer that provides a wide range of products to customers worldwide. Currently we are looking to hire a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with plastics manufacturing experience to join our growing team. We offer a 4-10, 1st shift schedule Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities will include:

• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of all existing injection molding equipment
• Works closely with other departments, management, and teammates to notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
• Carry out inspections of production facility to identify and resolve mechanical / maintenance issues
• Respond to all PM's in a timely manner
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements
• Maintain hydraulic and electric injection molding machines and additional processing equipment
• Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrading existing equipment
• Complete activity logs daily including scheduled PM's
• Conduct facilities and building maintenance as needed

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Prior experience working in plastics manufacturing or injection molding environment is preferred
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work as part of a team
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems
• Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
