Responsibilities
- Carry out regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and rectify potential faults and prevent breakdowns.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to enhance the longevity and efficiency of our machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues promptly and accurately.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards at all times.
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports to document all repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure machinery and equipment are in optimal condition and to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy machinery parts.
- A relevant certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is advantageous.
