As a Permanent Maintenance Supervisor in the Engineering industry, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and overall facility. This role is not for the faint-hearted and requires someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty while leading a team of skilled maintenance personnel. You will be responsible for ensuring that our equipment and systems are operating at their peak efficiency and that our food safety standards are always met.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance of our manufacturing facility.
  • Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and machinery.
  • Supervise the receiving and warehousing processes, ensuring that all procedures are followed correctly.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of parts and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Process Engineering team to improve manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food safety are maintained at all times.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of maintenance personnel, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Manage the supply chain effectively to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required and troubleshoot equipment failures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management and warehouse management.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering and equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in food safety procedures and standards.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance management software.
  • A strong commitment to safety and the ability to instill this in others.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required.
