Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to:
1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production and operating equipment to ensure maximum life expectancy and minimal downtime.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems, and make necessary repairs and adjustments.
3. Maintain and repair industrial machinery including motors, conveyor systems, production machines, and other plant equipment.
4. Operate and maintain control panels for machines and mechanical systems.
5. Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed and work to minimize production downtime.
6. Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines, control panels, and electrical systems.
7. Assist in the implementation of new machinery, including installation, set-up, and debugging.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, technical understanding, mechanical skills, electrical skills, preventive maintenance, and repairing.
3. In-depth knowledge of industrial machinery, control panels, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
4. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. A proactive approach to maintenance and repair, with the ability to foresee potential issues and prevent them.
8. A high school diploma or equivalent. A technical or trade qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous.
9. Physical stamina and strength, as well as the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions.
