Job Description
SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment, along with preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance. In addition, this role includes a variety of building and facility maintenance tasks to support overall plant operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair with an emphasis on minimizing downtime.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
Work with natural gas-fired systems, 480V 3-phase electrical equipment, ammonia refrigeration, and boiler systems.
Diagnose and repair issues related to downtime, performance, or quality concerns.
Coordinate scheduled changeovers and repairs in collaboration with production staff.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
Prepare and submit parts lists for repairs and replacement; recommend necessary purchases.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, testing, modifications, and repairs.
Provide training to operators and production staff on proper setup and adjustment of machinery.
Support facility upkeep through general maintenance tasks including light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field preferred.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regular standing, walking, stooping, and reaching required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 80 lbs.
Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing facility with moderate to high noise levels.
Frequent exposure to heat from equipment and occasional exposure to refrigerated/cold areas.
Fast-paced production environment requiring adaptability and attention to detail.
