Shift: 1st (6a – 4p) – 4 day / 10 Hour schedule
We are currently seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Permanent Maintenance Technician for our Machining department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on maintaining and troubleshooting various types of machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the productivity and efficiency of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your main duties will include:
1. Conducting routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Performing preventative maintenance tasks to avoid potential breakdowns and to ensure the smooth running of operations.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in production machinery and equipment.
4. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
5. Documenting and maintaining records of all maintenance and repair work done, including the cost of parts and labor.
6. Assisting in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
7. Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
8. Working closely with other team members and departments to improve processes and achieve common goals.
9. Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Maintenance Technician position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
3. Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
7. Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
8. High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy machinery parts.
9. Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
10. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
