Maintenance Technician

We are a global manufacturer located in Westfield. We have been in business for nearly 100 years and are currently looking to hire for our maintenance department. We currently have one of our lead technicians getting ready to retire and need to backfill his position ASAP.

Maintenance will support production by completing routine or preventative maintenance on equipment and by responding to break-down calls as they occur. About 30% of this role will be routine or preventative maintenance, 50% of the role will be responding to breakdowns, and the last 20% will be spent working on special projects. Maintenance will be heavily involved in special projects such as machine building and installation, production line / machinery upgrades, and process improvements that require technical skill to implement.
The maintenance department works as a team and duties will be assigned based on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual technician. Requirements:

• 3+ years of Industrial Maintenance Experience preferred (we are willing to train individuals, but would prefer candidates have some prior industrial maintenance experience or related experience)
• Pneumatic / Hydraulic Troubleshooting Experience
• Motor Control Knowledge
• PLC Troubleshooting Experience (not required, but a big plus!)
