We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Maintenance Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our state-of-the-art production machinery. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
2. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
6. Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
7. Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
8. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
9. Collaborate with other professionals in resolving complex issues related to equipment malfunction.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry or a similar role.
2. Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, mechanical repair, electrical systems, and equipment maintenance.
3. Proficiency in using manual and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
4. Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, diagrams, and operation manuals.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions quickly in high-pressure situations.
6. Strong physical stamina and dexterity, capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment and standing for extended periods.
7. High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field is a plus.
8. Valid certification to handle and dispose of hazardous materials is a plus.
9. Good understanding of basic math and ability to perform calculations.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong dedication to teamwork and collaboration.
11. Willingness to adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
