Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Disassemble machinery to remove and repair parts
- Identify defective parts and replace or repair as needed
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment
- Operate advanced machinery and shop equipment
- Reassemble machinery after inspections, testing, or repairs
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas
- Respond to emergency call-ins within 30 minutes during off-hours
- Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision instruments
- Operate PIT equipment such as forklifts and powered jacks
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications (Needed):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in plant or industrial environment, including cold/damp conditions
- Strong problem-solving and basic math skills
- Proficient in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipefitting/plumbing, electrical wiring, and motor maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, bend, twist, and work at heights
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or trade certification preferred
- Knowledge of USDA, OSHA, and EEO regulations preferred
