Job Details
This position involves the maintenance, servicing, and repair of equipment to ensure the proper functioning of production machinery and electrical systems.
You will...
Read, interpret, and understand equipment manuals, preventive maintenance (PM) task sheets, and safety policies.
Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, preventive maintenance, and handle emergency breakdowns.
Execute specific duties during both production and non-production hours, adhering to OSHA Lockout/Tagout and company safety regulations.
Monitor equipment performance and report potential issues to maintenance and production supervisors.
Maintain logbooks, applying math skills to calibrate machinery to performance standards.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0-2 years
Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, and analytical tasks. Must possess personal tools and the ability to learn and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment.
Environmental and Physical Requirements
This active role is primarily based on the plant floor, involving tasks such as troubleshooting and redesigning existing systems. Occasionally, moving equipment and accessing files, supplies, and equipment is required. The role requires the ability to navigate throughout the complex and all facilities.
Plant Environment:
Exposure to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
Temperature ranges from 28°F to 100°F with both ambient and 100% humidity conditions.
Handling products in temperature ranges from 25°F to 50°F.
Noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.
Exposure to chemicals used in poultry and food processing facilities.
Use of protective and safety equipment as required for the job is mandatory.
