We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. With your high level of expertise and experience, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our engineering equipment and machinery. This role involves carrying out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on various types of machinery.
Responsibilities:
The Permanent Maintenance Technician will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
2. Carry out maintenance and repair work on a wide range of engineering equipment, including metalworking machines.
3. Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
4. Collaborate with the Account Manager to understand the maintenance needs of each project and provide technical support when needed.
5. Diagnose faults, troubleshoot machinery issues, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
6. Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs for future reference.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols during maintenance work to ensure a safe working environment.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance techniques and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Maintenance Technician position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a maintenance technician, maintenance mechanic, or a similar role in the engineering industry.
2. Proficient knowledge and experience in equipment maintenance, specifically metalworking machine maintenance.
3. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues with various types of machinery.
4. Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the engineering industry.
5. Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical team members.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Relevant certification or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Studies, or a related field is preferred.
