The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while participating in a comprehensive industrial maintenance training program designed to develop technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including metal fabrication machines, coating application systems, and pan refurbishment machinery.
- Learn to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Participate in structured industrial maintenance training that covers welding, electrical troubleshooting, PLC basics, motor controls, and preventive maintenance.
- Support preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure reliable and efficient operation of equipment.
- Help identify and report potential mechanical or electrical issues before they result in equipment failures.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to assist with troubleshooting.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to enhance machine reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Document maintenance work performed and track training progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or GED (required). Technical school coursework in maintenance, mechanics, or electrical systems (preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in mechanical repair, industrial maintenance, or a related trade is a plus but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical and automation concepts.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Interest in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
