Job Details:

We are currently on the lookout for a motivated, experienced, and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a vital part of our operations, ensuring that all our machinery and equipment are functioning at optimal levels. This role is ideal for someone who is technically skilled, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular diagnostic tests, inspections, and preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
3. Install and set up new equipment, ensuring that they are operational and safe.
4. Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
5. Document all maintenance and repair work done, creating a comprehensive log for future reference.
6. Collaborate with the production team to understand and meet production goals.
7. Participate in ongoing technical training and development opportunities to stay current with industry standards and advancements.
8. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
9. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
3. Proven experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
4. Strong technical understanding and mechanical skills.
5. Proficient in basic safety and electrical skills.
6. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
7. Ability to handle physical workload including lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree from a vocational school or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.
