We are seeking a Permanent Maintenance Technician for our Engineering team. This role will involve working on a variety of challenging and rewarding tasks in an environment where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be at the frontline of our operations, ensuring that our machinery and systems are running at optimal efficiency. Your daily tasks will involve:
1. Performing routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to problems in a timely manner.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing faults in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
3. Programming and maintaining Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.
4. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services.
5. Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments.
6. Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
7. Participating in continuous improvement activities and suggesting improvements in work processes.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong technical background and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The following qualifications are required:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PLC, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
3. A strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
6. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
7. A relevant technical qualification would be advantageous.
