We’re partnering with an established flexible packaging manufacturer seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for its Carol Stream facility. This role supports production through equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

Job Details
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production machinery and supporting equipment.
Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment repairs.
Diagnose issues involving motors, drives, sensors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
Assist with equipment installations, rebuilds, and reliability improvements.
Partner with production to address breakdowns and recurring equipment problems.
Document maintenance work and follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and electrical repair experience.
Familiarity with motors, controls, sensors, and variable frequency drives.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical drawings.
Packaging, plastics, extrusion, printing, or converting equipment experience preferred.
PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
