Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
2. Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
4. Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Maintaining and repairing specialized equipment and machinery found in kitchens, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, and factories.
6. Planning and laying out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
7. Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring they are operational and well-maintained.
8. Participating in continuous improvement activities, contributing ideas and suggestions for process and product improvements.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with preventive and equipment maintenance, including a strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams.
4. A technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery and equipment.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. A strong commitment to adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
8. The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if required.
9. Physical stamina and strength, as well as the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
10. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
