We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Permanent Manager of Accounting to join our dynamic team in the technology industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to take on a pivotal role in our accounting department, where you will play a crucial part in the financial management of our organization. As the Permanent Manager of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, including the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, external audit, and ERP implementation.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
3. Coordinate and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
4. Liaise with external auditors, providing all required information and ensuring that audited financial statements are issued on time.
5. Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures that comply with the US GAAP.
6. Lead the ERP system implementation, ensuring that all financial operations are integrated and functioning properly.
7. Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, forecast future trends, and make informed business decisions.
8. Leverage your armed forces/military experience to promote a disciplined, organized, and efficient work environment.
9. Maintain a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk.
10. Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
Qualifications:
1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
2. Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in public accounting, preferably in the technology industry.
3. Proficient understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and the US GAAP.
4. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
5. Proven experience with ERP implementation and system integration.
6. Demonstrated experience in managing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
7. Experience with external audit and ability to comply with all reporting requirements.
8. Armed forces/military experience is a strong plus.
9. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
11. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
