Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Cost Accountant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a solid background in accounting, particularly in the manufacturing sector, who is passionate about cost control, variance analysis, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play an integral role in our finance department, being responsible for monitoring and analyzing manufacturing costs, comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and preparing budgeting and operational metrics. This position requires a high level of precision, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong dedication to efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis.
2. Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward.
3. Coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and other.
4. Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.
5. Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.
6. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division.
7. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
8. Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others.
9. Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.
10. Work in special projects as required.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
2. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 4 or more years of related experience.
3. Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards.
4. Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data.
5. Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills.
6. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
7. Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves.
8. Strong organizational and communicational skills.
9. Detail-oriented and ability to work and interpret figures and percentages with high degree of accuracy.
10. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
11. Experience with budgeting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and cost control is a must.
