Our dynamic manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to join the team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving quality, and reducing costs. Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and equipment for manufacturing processes using AutoCAD.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design, to identify and implement tooling solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
3. Conduct tooling feasibility studies and present findings to management.
4. Lead tooling improvement initiatives, including cost reduction and process optimization projects.
5. Conduct regular inspections of tooling and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
6. Troubleshoot tooling problems and implement effective solutions.
7. Provide technical support and training to production staff on tooling and equipment use.
8. Stay current with latest tooling technologies, trends, and best practices.
9. Develop and maintain tooling documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and maintenance logs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in tooling design and development in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
10. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
