Manufacturing Engineer – Exciting Growth Opportunity in Automotive Innovation

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in bringing innovative automotive solutions to life.

Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a crucial member of the platform launch team, working alongside cross-functional groups to design and implement cutting-edge manufacturing processes. Reporting to a central manufacturing engineering function, your focus will be on early-stage planning and process optimization to ensure smooth and cost-effective production. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by shaping the future of automotive manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, purchasing, estimating, and process design teams to develop best-in-class manufacturing processes for new product launches.
Lead manufacturing feasibility assessments during early design stages, ensuring seamless transitions from concept to production.
Develop and refine process flow diagrams, cost estimates, failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), and pre-production control plans to optimize efficiency and minimize risk.
Identify automation and process improvement opportunities that reduce costs while maintaining or enhancing product quality.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including structured VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) studies and plant-specific optimization efforts.
Support launch teams with run-at-rate production readiness, ensuring successful, cost-efficient manufacturing processes.
Perform other duties as needed to support platform success and organizational objectives.

What We’re Looking For:
Problem-solving mindset: Ability to analyze and resolve issues using structured methodologies such as 8D problem-solving.
Technical expertise: Familiarity with statistical problem-solving techniques and process control methodologies.
Strong communication skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clearly articulate process strategies.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience in the automotive industry with exposure to process design, quality, or production engineering.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience/training).
Valid driver’s license.
