Job Details
Responsibilities:
Lead projects to streamline production processes, improve tooling, reduce waste, and enhance equipment reliability.
Work with internal teams to investigate and resolve quality issues using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
Create and maintain documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Support production teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
Contribute to automation system design and assist with implementation and improvements.
Analyze production data to drive performance improvements and cost savings.
Collaborate with accounting to align engineering solutions with financial performance goals.
Develop layouts, tools, and fixtures to improve process flow, accuracy, and ergonomics.
Participate in process reviews and risk assessments related to new and existing products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of Lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficient with mechanical and electrical systems; hands-on experience preferred.
Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Familiarity with GD&T, time studies, and automation systems is a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
