We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the fast-paced construction industry, where you will play a significant role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Lean Sigma, and Green Belt. ASQ certification and a demonstrated history of improving processes are also essential for this role. This position requires at least 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency.
  • Ensure the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively and are responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process.
  • Review and plan process flow, equipment layout, and project proposals to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
  • Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
  • Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
  • Confer with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluate products according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Estimate staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions.
  • Work closely with other engineers and professionals in the development of new products and in the resolution of technical difficulties experienced in the current manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Lean Sigma, Green Belt.
  • ASQ certification is a must.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and improving manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to apply the principles of project management to implement changes and achieve objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using various software applications including Microsoft Office and CAD.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement activities at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
