Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, refine, and document manufacturing processes for chassis fabrication, drivetrain assembly, and powertrain integration (gas and electric).
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, supply chain, and production teams to transition prototypes to scalable manufacturing.
  • Lead tooling design, fixture development, and layout optimization for assembly lines and sub-assemblies.
  • Select, install, validate, and troubleshoot production equipment
  • Analyze production data (yield, cycle time, defects) and implement continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or related frameworks.
  • Define test methods and frequency to ensure product conformance, e.g., performance, durability, and safety validations.
  • Work with suppliers to qualify components, materials, and sub-assemblies to maintain manufacturing readiness and compliance.
  • Train production operators on new processes, tools, and quality control measures.
  • Support safety protocols maintaining site safety compliance and fostering a culture of zero defects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing.
  • Technical expertise in fabrication methods, CNC machining, metal forming, assembly, and material handling.
  • Proficient with 3D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
