Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role will be pivotal in driving our manufacturing processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the medical device industry and a deep understanding of ISO 13485, NPI, validation, and design verification. This position will play a key role in the development and implementation of new products and processes, ensuring they meet all regulatory and quality standards. Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
2. Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products and conduct feasibility studies to determine the best manufacturing approach for new products.
3. Establish and enforce standards for operational efficiency, safety, quality, and waste reduction.
4. Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
5. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
6. Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
7. Conduct validation and design verification activities to ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO 13485.
8. Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring smooth transition from design to manufacturing phase.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2. Experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically medical device industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485, New Product Introduction (NPI), validation, and design verification.
4. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply statistical methods in process analysis.
6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
8. Proficient in using CAD and other manufacturing software.
9. Certification in Six Sigma or other quality control methodology would be an advantage.
