Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide support for project engineering activities, including new product design configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop prototypes for research and development projects and coordinate the launch of new products with the production group. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing and engineering, with a focus on process improvement and quality assurance.

We are a leading global manufacturer specializing in control, safety, and hazardous area solutions for engines, compressors, turbines, and other rotating equipment in various industries. Our product portfolio includes valves, electric and pneumatic instrumentation, control and condition monitoring systems, and hazardous area safety products.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the rotating equipment industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering, component level rework, production review, and continuous process improvement. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Developing and implementing manufacturing processes that ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products.
• Conducting component level rework to ensure that production processes are optimized for maximum efficiency and quality.
• Reviewing production processes to identify areas for improvement and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues, including design, quality, and supply chain issues.
• Developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Providing technical support to production teams to ensure that products are manufactured to the required specifications.
• Developing and managing project plans to ensure that manufacturing projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of component level rework and production review processes.
• Proven experience in implementing continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong project management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
