Job Details
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manufacturing Manager to lead operations at our dynamic manufacturing plant, which produces a diverse range of products under one operational umbrella. This position is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance and plant safety compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment is running efficiently, production targets are met, and our facility adheres to the highest safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage manufacturing operations across multiple product lines, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality output.
Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Ensure all machinery and systems are routinely inspected, maintained, and serviced according to industry and OEM standards.
Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and company safety policies; proactively identify and mitigate safety risks.
Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to continuously improve processes and reduce waste.
Monitor KPIs and production data to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
Manage, train, and develop maintenance and production staff to foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Assist in capital improvement projects and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance or repair work.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing management or maintenance leadership role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and industrial equipment maintenance.
Proven experience implementing or managing preventative maintenance programs (CMMS experience preferred).
In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-product manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
Familiarity with root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools.
