Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Establish and monitor production and quality control standards to meet organizational objectives.
Plan, schedule, and direct production activities through supervisors and team leads.
Oversee raw material usage, finished goods, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely supply based on forecasts and production schedules.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments including procurement, maintenance, and quality to achieve optimal results.
Develop and track key production metrics; analyze data and implement corrective actions when needed.
Lead hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations in partnership with HR and senior management.
Manage budgets, cost controls, and prepare performance reports.
Enforce plant procedures, work rules, and compliance with safety programs to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular meetings with production teams to address safety, quality, continuous improvement, and policy updates.
Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime.
Review production documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Serve as acting Plant Manager when required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
6+ years of production experience, with at least 4 years in a manufacturing management role.
Experience in plastics or related manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
Background in labor relations and employee development.
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Experience working in ISO-compliant environments and implementing required standards.
Strong understanding of production planning, warehousing, procurement, and material control.
Proven ability to develop strategic plans and implement cost and process improvements.
Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
