We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment, where you will play a vital role in driving the success of our operations. As the Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, optimizing production processes, and implementing cost reduction strategies. You will also be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and control are maintained. This role requires a hands-on approach, strategic thinking and a passion for excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all manufacturing operations, ensuring production meets the required deadlines, quality standards, and cost objectives.
2. Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma and SMED.
3. Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize production line setup and operations.
4. Lead cost control initiatives, identifying opportunities for savings and implementing strategies to realize these savings.
5. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
6. Develop and maintain a strong, effective team through clear communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management.
7. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. A Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or aerospace industry.
3. Proven experience in quality assurance and control, with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulations.
4. Exceptional knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools, including Six Sigma and SMED.
5. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize production line operations.
6. Strong financial acumen, with proven experience in cost control and reduction.
7. Excellent leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams across the organization.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with manufacturing software systems.
