With approximately 70 employees, they specialize in CNC machining, Swiss machining, milling, turning, deburring, cleanroom operations, and value-added services including plating, heat treating, grinding, and assembly. They are seeking a Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler to play a critical role in production planning, resource utilization, and on-time customer delivery.

Job Details
The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that maximize manufacturing efficiency while ensuring customer orders are delivered on time. This individual will work closely with production, purchasing, sales, and operations to coordinate workflow, manage production priorities, and respond quickly to changes in customer demand.
The ideal candidate has experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment, is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working within ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to support on-time customer delivery.
- Monitor production capacity and resource utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate daily with manufacturing leadership to align schedules with production priorities.
- Review customer orders and adjust production plans based on changing demand and delivery requirements.
- Create and release manufacturing travelers through the ERP system.
- Generate material pull requests and coordinate with purchasing to ensure material availability.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory to support accurate production planning.
- Communicate schedule changes, capacity constraints, and delivery risks to internal teams.
- Work closely with sales to maintain accurate customer lead times.
- Maintain planning data, production calendars, routing information, and scheduling records.
- Identify scheduling bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to increase throughput and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or production control.
- Experience in a job shop, CNC machining, metal fabrication, or other high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and production scheduling principles.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across production, purchasing, engineering, and sales teams.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Knowledge of supplier management and purchasing coordination.
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings and understand GD&T.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- PMP certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred (equivalent manufacturing planning experience will also be considered).
