We are in search of a dynamic and proactive Manufacturing Plant HR / Safety Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our company's future. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing HR functions and ensuring safety compliance in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Plant HR / Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process.
  • Supporting employee development and ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Developing and enforcing safety policies to reduce risk and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigating accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
  • Conducting safety training sessions for employees and educating about preventative measures for accidents.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree will be a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in conducting and reporting investigations.
  • Exceptional knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Strong experience in creating and implementing safety compliance programs.
  • Excellent skills in training, onboarding, and development of employees.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Experience in performance management and employee evaluation.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus.
  • Professional certification in HR or Safety Management is a plus.
