We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Mechanic to join our fast-paced Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a strong mechanical background, who can keep our machinery running efficiently and safely. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment within the manufacturing facility.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems and malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
3. Utilizing power tools and other equipment to perform repairs and maintenance.
4. Assessing machine functionality, diagnosing issues, and implementing necessary repairs or adjustments.
5. Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with quality control standards.
6. Collaborating with other team members to identify issues and develop solutions.
7. Adhering to all safety and health regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
8. Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, and reporting any persistent issues to management.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanic role within a manufacturing or similar industrial setting.
2. Proven mechanical knowledge, with a strong understanding of the workings of machinery and equipment.
3. Experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing.
4. Proficiency in using power tools and other equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
5. A keen eye for quality control to ensure all work is performed to the highest standard.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess machine functionality and identify issues.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
8. A commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
9. Certification or diploma in a relevant field would be a plus.
