Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanics/Millwrights for our client. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and machinery, who are eager to apply their expertise in inspection, parts replacement, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the operating principles of the equipment and its role in the process/factory. As a mechanic, you will be expected to optimize equipment performance based on its function and application. Your skillset should also include welding, with the ability to perform a variety of joining and fabrication activities. You will be required to weld, cut, braze, and solder a variety of materials, including carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes, and stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.

Responsibilities:
1. Inspect, maintain, and repair various types of equipment and machinery.
2. Perform parts replacement, alignment, balancing, and installation tasks.
3. Understand and apply the operating principles of the equipment and its role in the process/factory.
4. Optimize equipment performance based on its function and application.
5. Perform a variety of joining and fabrication activities, including welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering.
6. Weld carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes.
7. Weld stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.
8. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
9. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a mechanic in the Manufacturing industry or a related field.
2. Proven experience in inspection, parts replacement, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment.
3. Comprehensive understanding of the operating principles of equipment and its role in the process/factory.
4. Proficiency in optimizing equipment performance based on its function and application.
5. Skilled in a variety of joining and fabrication activities, including welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering.
6. Experience in welding carbon steel using the SMAW and GMAW processes.
7. Experience in welding stainless steel metals using the SMAW process.
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
11. Relevant certifications or qualifications would be an added advantage.
