We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about machinery and has a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery. This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the buildings does not deteriorate.
2. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
6. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
7. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
8. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
9. Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
10. Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
11. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues with equipment such as pneumatics and conveyors.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry or a related field.
2. Proven experience in machining and mechanical procedures.
3. Extensive knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and techniques.
4. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
5. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources effectively.
