Job Details
We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in building systems design and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. If you’re experienced in equipment sizing, load calculations, and BIM in Revit, this role could be the perfect next step in your career.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of design engineers, overseeing project schedules, managing workloads, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate mechanical designs with other building systems, promoting effective teamwork and coordination.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring all deliverables are on time, accurate, and meet client expectations.
- Conduct and review equipment sizing, load calculations, and energy modeling for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Interpret and apply building codes, standards, and energy efficiency requirements to your designs, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Develop mechanical and plumbing systems designs, review equipment submittals, and prepare system design reviews, especially for HVAC and life safety systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architectural Design, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress towards PE licensure.
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, with a focus on building systems.
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit, with a strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing drawings.
- Solid experience with equipment sizing, load calculations, and reviewing technical documentation like cutsheets and equipment catalog data.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, design processes, and standards for system performance, maintenance, and installation.
