Mechanical Designer

We are in search of a talented and experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team on a permanent basis. Our ideal candidate is a professional with a strong background in the construction industry, particularly with a focus on mechanical design. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects, providing critical support to our team in the design and implementation of mechanical systems. This role requires a high level of technical skill, including proficiency in piping design, Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load analysis. Responsibilities:
1. Designing and drafting mechanical systems for various construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
2. Utilizing software such as Revit and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models and drawings.
3. Conducting HVAC load analysis to determine the specifications for heating and cooling systems.
4. Collaborating with other professionals, such as architects and engineers, to ensure the integration of mechanical systems into overall project design.
5. Reviewing and modifying designs to meet project specifications and standards.
6. Conducting inspections and assessments of existing mechanical systems to determine the need for upgrades or replacements.
7. Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members.
8. Ensuring all designs adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and project requirements.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
4. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including the ability to conduct load analysis.
5. Experience in piping design, including the ability to create detailed and accurate 3D models.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. A proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
9. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
10. Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical design in construction.
