Job Details
Create detailed 3D models, part and assembly drawings, and equipment layouts for conveyor systems using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Develop fabrication drawing packages, bills of materials, and purchase requisitions to support procurement, manufacturing, and assembly.
Review project specifications and drawings, coordinating with engineering and other departments to resolve design issues and meet project requirements.
Prepare system layout packages for client review and approval, incorporating feedback and maintaining accurate revisions.
Support fabrication and assembly teams by addressing drawing questions and tracking project-related work.
Participate in design reviews, communicate project status, and manage assigned tasks against project schedules.
Conduct site visits as needed to verify dimensions, clearances, and installation conditions.
What you’ll bring:
2+ years of hands on 3D Mechanical Design experience.
Strong use of Inventor - will be given an Inventor drawing assesment as part of the interview
Experience designing mechanical equipment, machinery, fabricated assemblies, or industrial systems. Backgrounds in manufacturing, automation, packaging equipment, mining equipment, or similar industries are welcome.
Ability to produce detailed mechanical drawings, assembly documentation, equipment layouts, and bills of materials for manufacturing.
Understanding of AWS weld symbols, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow established drafting standards.
Proficiency with Windows and Excel, along with strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Conveyor, material handling, or baggage handling design experience is a plus, rather than a requirement. Strong mechanical designers with transferable experience are encouraged to apply.
Sheet metal fabrication, weldments, prefabrication drawings, and manufacturing assembly drawing experience are preferred.
BIM coordination, point clouds, Leica scanning, Autodesk ReCap, or Microsoft Project experience is an additional plus.
