Job Details

Join a respected mechanical contracting firm with decades of experience in industrial fabrication, piping, and HVAC systems. As a Mechanical Drafter, you’ll play a key role in supporting engineering and project teams by producing accurate technical drawings and documentation for fabrication and installation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop fabrication and installation plans.
  • Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and field notes to produce accurate shop drawings.
  • Revise and update drawings based on project changes, field conditions, and feedback.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for pressure vessels, piping systems, and sheet metal components.
  • Maintain organized drawing files and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry codes.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, mechanical design, or related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D); experience with Tekla or similar software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication processes, and industrial materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
