We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer with a focus on Boat/Marine Construction. This exciting opportunity will allow you to showcase your technical skills and creativity in the Engineering industry. As a mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and implementing mechanical solutions for marine vessels. You will be involved in the complete product life cycle, from initial concept through to production and beyond. This role requires a deep understanding of the mechanical and structural aspects of boat construction, marine vessel design, propulsion systems, HVAC, plumbing, and machine design.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop marine vessels using AutoCAD, 2D AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
2. Create, review, and update technical drawings, plans, and specifications for marine vessels.
3. Develop and implement innovative solutions for propulsion systems, HVAC, plumbing, and machine design.
4. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve the design, manufacturability, and performance of marine vessels.
5. Conduct regular inspections of boat construction to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
6. Perform complex calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
7. Evaluate operational systems, recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
8. Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.
9. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on boat/marine construction.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
4. Extensive knowledge of boat construction, marine vessel design, propulsion systems, HVAC, plumbing, and machine design.
5. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
