Mechanical Engineer EIT/PE - Mission Critical (Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Projects)

A well-established engineering consulting firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mission-critical projects, particularly within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading mechanical design efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality solutions for complex building systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the mechanical design & engineering of HVAC systems for healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and cGMP.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for mission-critical environments, including cleanrooms, laboratories, and data centers.
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and system evaluations to inform design decisions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices within the firm.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; PE license preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on mission-critical projects in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and cGMP.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
