- Responsible for creating, documenting, developing, implementing, and improving methods and procedures used to assemble, process, test, and/or manufacture.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and solve new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes to improve quality, safety, and efficiencies.
- Design new fixtures and equipment to facility process improvements.
- Support needs related to the assembly processes of manufacturing to achieve or improve optimum production and quality levels.
- Develop and implement engineering project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance and direction to team members.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure successful product launch.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred, Minimum Associate degree required.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on custom design and seeing products from conception to completion preferred.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with a proven track record of leading teams to successful project completion.
- Proficiency in CAD software, with experience in 3D modeling and drafting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
- Experience in the Steel manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
