Job Details
Daily Responsibilities:
Engage with clients to comprehend their requirements, limitations, and criteria for success.
Formulate design solutions, evaluating the advantages and drawbacks of various options, and assisting the client in selecting a viable path forward.
Lead the project team in crafting design documents encompassing conceptual design, equipment selection, construction drawings, specifications, energy modeling, and more.
Ensure coordination among all design disciplines to achieve a comprehensive, code-compliant, and feasible design.
Effectively manage client expectations throughout the design process.
Collaborate with colleagues, external consultants, and vendors to achieve set objectives and adhere to schedules.
Act as the Owner's representative during construction, involving responsibilities like responding to Requests for Information (RFI), reviewing submittals, conducting site inspections, etc.
Some travel may be required, but it will not exceed 15%.
Your Expertise:
Possess 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for commercial and industrial buildings.
Bring forth 4+ years of project management experience.
Preference given to those with design-build project experience.
Preferred experience in designing cleanrooms, data centers, and "mission-critical" facilities.
Demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills.
