Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed analysis of mechanical systems, components, and applications by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
2. Design and implement mechanical systems and components while considering functionality, cost-effectiveness, safety, and aesthetics.
3. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and improve design methodology.
4. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) tools for simulation and evaluation.
5. Oversee the machining process, ensuring that all components are manufactured to exact specifications.
6. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
7. Ensure all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
8. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
9. Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending workshops, professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly with analysis, design, and machining.
3. Proficient in CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools.
4. Strong understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
6. Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards.
9. Must be a team player with the ability to also work independently.
10. Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
