Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and HVAC components of construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive understanding of project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather information and resolve potential issues.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and provide mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and submit budget proposals and cost-tracking reports.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals for completeness, price, and compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates and insights on cost-related matters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market rates, and new technologies to ensure competitive pricing.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanical/HVAC Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, systems, and market trends.
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
- Proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Professional certification in estimating or project management is a plus.
