Job Details
Sr. Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer, PE needed in Dallas area.
Designing mechanical systems for highly integrated facilities. Perform load calculations, static pressure calculations, pump head calculations, energy analysis, etc.
Develop mechanical specifications, AutoCAD and 3D BIM modeling of systems, mechanical equipment schedules, etc.
The applicant will be expected to work independently with minor guidance on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
Position may include field investigation and mechanical inspection for projects.
As required, the Mechanical PE is expected to work with others, with the team, or outside of the team to complete mechanical system designs for more complex projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Master Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
PE required
Position requires high verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Prefer proficiency with Revit
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is desirable
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
Master degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with HVAC- related emphasis
5 + years experience with mechanical system design for healthcare, education, science and technology, and federal
Experience in HVAC and plumbing system design
Experience with the latest version of AutoCAD-MEP, and REVIT
Solid knowledge of Mechanical / Plumbing trades, building codes, and drawings / documents
Detailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers and the ability to make proper selections independently
Ability to independently perform plumbing, piping, fire suppression hydraulic calculations to support the design and estimate construction costs and evaluate the feasibility of construction
Certified Plumbing Designer Preferred.
