We are seeking an experienced and innovative Mechanical Product Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This role is perfect for a creative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for product design, process improvements, and high-volume manufacturing. You will be a part of a team that thrives on innovation and continuous improvement, utilizing your skills in mechanical design, 3D CAD Design, and working with industrial equipment. If you have a background in woodworking, milling, and machinery, and are proficient in software like Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Product Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Designing, developing, and enhancing mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD Design tools such as Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks.
2. Implementing process improvements and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet design specifications, budget, and project timeline.
4. Performing detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling, simulation, and analysis.
5. Providing engineering support in the production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
6. Conducting product testing and validation to ensure the functionality and performance of the product.
7. Participating in the review of engineering drawings and supporting documentation for manufacturability.
8. Utilizing woodworking, milling, and machinery skills to contribute to the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a product engineering role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with high volume manufacturing, process improvements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
4. Proficiency in mechanical design and 3D CAD Design, preferably with Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks.
5. Hands-on experience with woodworking, milling, and operation of various machinery and industrial equipment.
6. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of high-quality goods.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
